I stepped into wedding planning in 2012, intent on being the
planner I never had.
You see, having previously planned my sisters' and a few friends' weddings, I thought I could plan my own. But man, was I wrong.
I felt pressure to outdo myself, which ultimately led to making choices that weren't in the best interest of my peace and joy.
That's why at Canvas Weddings, we see planning a wedding as more than recommending vendors, managing spreadsheets, and designing unique-looking events -
She helps you better understand your own vision and style and makes recommendations, shows you how to organize it, and puts it all together."
Weddings are wonderful. But, more often than not, they can also be incredibly heavy.
And it's no wonder - between parents not fully grasping your "non-traditional" vision. Friends telling you you're crazy for caring what the chairs look like. And your inner monologue convincing you the location of your wedding will inconvenience guests.
This is why, rather than initially focusing on the style and aesthetic of your wedding, I come from a place of emotional support. And I lead with getting to know you so that I can help you make decisions - design related and not - that are in YOUR best interest.
With me on your team, you'll never worry how your ideas will come together logistically or stylistically. Because you'll have a guide who has both a type A brain and a type B personality.
In other words, I'm the type of planner who will provide a comprehensive, step-by-step road map while keeping things exciting, peaceful, and fun along the way.
How do I do that? Well, I'm a spreadsheet queen with a laid-back demeanor. And I'm an enneagram three who is motivated by a to-do list mixed with an enneagram four who enjoys being creative.
Since 2012, I've planned hundreds of weddings. But it isn't just my wedding planning experience that will help me shape your wedding weekend -- it's a culmination of everything that came before.
As a former stage manager, I have the ability to see the big picture while simultaneously pinpointing the small details. By selling wedding gowns, I learned how to bustle any style of dress. And from my time as an Events Director, I know almost all there is to know about catering.
Before all of that, though, I was a communications minor. Which is fitting, because quick and thorough communication is my JAM.

"[Corinne] was supportive, diplomatic, and reassuring. Best of all, she made our day a breeze with her incredible organization & people skills. On all counts (creativity, support, professionalism, value, the list goes on and on), Corinne earns an A+++"
No two Canvas Weddings are the same.
Because no two couples are the same.
There are some commonalities, though:
Minimalist and maximalist style.
Refined and simple decor.
Understated and elaborate details.
Comforting and scrumptious food.
