Real Wedding: A Late Fall Love-Fest at Gather Greene

Hudson Valley Wedding Planner - Gather Greene Wedding

Tamar + Sabina’s Gather Greene wedding is one that I will NEVER forget. From start to finish, every detail and moment was crafted with intention. From their warm and cozy portrait session to the jubilant ceremony, stations-style dinner and the roaring dance party, this wedding was one for the record books. Photos by the incredible Tracy Jade Photography.

Getting Ready

Can we normalize couples getting ready together? Tamar and Sabina chose to do photos together pre-ceremony, but skipped the pageantry of a traditional “first look,” opting instead to get ready together and prepare for the day…together. The result? They were super on the same page and connected all day long.

Portraits

For their portrait session, Tracy took the couple into the woods at Gather Greene to play around in the cabins and in the shale quarry. The result? The coziest, sweetest images of a couple just so in love.

Details

Tamar + Sabina valued maximum freedom for their guests’ experience, and that translated into a stations-style dinner where guests could eat when they wanted, sample several different kinds of cuisine and eat wherever they wanted, from bistro tables to lounges, bar and DJ booth from Patina Rentals. The festive, botanical touches by Athabold were the perfect finishing touches.

One of my favorite details? The love note station, where the couple wrote a little love note for each of their guests. So cute, right?

Ceremony + Traditions

From their tisch to their ketubah signing, ceremony under the chuppah and parade to the yichud, Tamar + Sabina’s wedding was full of tradition, exuberant singing, energetic dancing and so. much. joy.

The Reception

Some of the most energetic dancing and celebration I’ve EVER seen, courtesy of DJ Karin Fjellman.

How to set up a wedding room block in the Hudson Valley.

 01

As a Hudson Valley and Catskills wedding planner, my specialty is what I call the “mini destination” wedding. A lot of our couples (and their guests) come from New York City and the surrounding areas. So, while we’re not arranging destination weddings to the likes of Mexico, Italy or other international destinations, most of our […]

Back in 2023 my husband and I spent two fun-filled weeks in Italy. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I fell in love with the sprawling landscapes, fresh food and drink and general warmth and vitality of the Italian countryside. Ever since then I’ve found myself chasing after local venues […]

Today’s guest has a special place in my heart – she’s been a big part of the New York chapter of my life. When I first moved to New York and worked as a venue manager while I was getting to know the area, Caitlinn shot one of the first weddings I worked on in […]

James Gop is the founder and head chef at Heirloom Fire, an open-fire catering company that is quite literally a feast for the eyes – cooking is done in full view of the guests over open fires, the […]
